anchor

drew up this anchor for a foot tattoo. ended up being tiny even though i strongly recommended something bigger and bolder, but no dice.

lots of drawing to do this week so no more blogging right now...more later...unless you die...peace!

leprechaun tattoo wip

i love little people...glad there are so many reality shows out there about them, so imagine my excitement when a client comes in and asks for a leprechaun on his arm. it gave me an instant chubby, which made the cosultation a little awkward, but we worked through it.

so you've seen the sketch and now the tattoo after 7 hours. still needs a couple hours, but it's a good start. used a 7 round liner in soba pilot liner machine, 9 mag shader in my swashdrive, intenze inks. i normally pour out a whole bunch of different inks, but on this one i wanted to do something different so i limited myself to cyan, magenta, yellow, black, and white (electric pick does this and his work looks amazing so i figured it wouldn't hurt).

let me know what you think...of the work, not me...i know i'm despicable.

business meets punk part 2

the original is here. almost done, but this was 7.5 hours of color work today on the ribs so we decided to call it a day.

all i set up today was a 9 mag in my swashdrive and intenze inks. got some awesome projects coming up this week so stay tuned.

marilyn manson

ahhhhh! so nice to get back to doing something that is familiar. i have been doing so many black and grey realism pieces lately that i was beginning to miss doing whacked out interpretation of what is around us...so here is a little glimpse into my mind...enjoy.

this piece is on ms. krystn victoria our shop manager. she kinda has a boner for marilyn manson so i filled in a spot between 2 existing marilyn tattoos. my drawing. lined with my soba pilot liner and a tight seven. colored with 9 mag in my gen 6 swashdrive (dope). all intenze inks...sidenote: i use to use eternal and fusion which are really good inks, my only complaint is that it doesn't wipe away easy and because of that i feel it slows me down.

busy and fun week coming up. lots of cool tattoos will be started, some finished (hopefully), and some pretty rad drawings. stay tuned and classy.

portrait

i don't get asked to do these much, but do have fun when i get the opportunity.

most of this tattoo was done with an 11 mag bugpin in my fancy schmancy gen 6 swashdrive rotary tattoo machine and the little bit of lining was done with a soba pilot liner with the voltage turned down pretty low. i did have a regular 7 mag setup in my next generation machine, but didn't really use it. silverback greywash set including their black, which i believe they call "11"...cannot say enough good things about this ink.

kept the stencil pretty simple because i found that they were getting way to busy and interfering with my tattooing. put on with stencil stuff because its the shit.
