here is what i did all day. i know what you're thinking and you are right, this is not much to do in a whole sitting, but unfortunately i have to give out the not so coveted hall of shame award. the hall of shame is reserved for clients that: a) smell like dirty laundry and/or cat piss. b) can't sit the fuck still. c) are socially awkward where having any type of conversation is not possible. d) tell me how to do my job. and e) "are we almost done?"...now you don't need to do all of these to be considered for the hall of shame and doing just one doesn't necessarily mean that you will get the award. it's on a per case/situation evaluation.

other news! going to banff next week! will be tattooing out of Perfect Image. can't wait. should be a lot of fun and maybe i can learn a few tricks from some amazing artists.

today was the best day in my life! ODB!!!! so this guy comes into the shop and says i want an ol dirty bastard tattoo. i drew up this caricature and he said, "yeah, that's aight"...so this is what he got. also got to listen to the wu all day...yay!

zombie elvis

why would anyone ever want a tattoo of elvis as a zombie? because they are dope! here it is. still need to go in and do some radioactive nuclear greens, but this is what you get after about 6.5 hours.

i also noticed that if anyone actually reads this blog (which i seriously doubt), there is a lack of interaction...please let me know that you despise me or you would like to have my luv chillren. it makes the days go by quicker when i have hate mail to read.

sometime i get clients that have a simple idea...ie. two turntable and a microphone. i then take that idea and try to come up with the craziest most absurd imagery i can imagine. then i show the client and most of the time they are like, "what the fuck? are you a retard?", but when they don't say that, this is what they get. yay for me.

this is for part of a tattoo...sketched out a few pretty ladies and these i feel made the cut. now i wait on the client to say yay or nay.

i love doing caricatures, maybe it's because i'm not so good at portraits or maybe i just like making people look fucked up...anyways, here are a couple that i have done recently and to sweeten the pot, i get to tattoo these as well.

first off we got that ol dirty bastard kid...love wu-tang, love hip hop, and the client is pretty dope too. i have spent about 1 1/2 hours on this, need to spend maybe another hour just to tighten it up.

01/12/10 sketch dump

this is the first sketch for a forearm piece on a guy who trains brazilian jui-juitsu (spelling?) needs a few changes, but clients happy with the direction so far.



i get to do this little funky monkey tomorrow on a buddy of mine who plays drums.



and finally, first rough on a marilyn manson caricature for the shop babysitter and soon to be piercer Kristen!!! she already has two mansons on her done by my right hand man sean cushnie (check him out, he is sick, swine flu...you know) and am honored that she wants me to waste some space on her.

squideejay or dj cycloptopus

so here is the start of a lower forearm piece, it's a giant squid dj on a cat that been spinning records since he was 10 years old. he came in for a consult, wanted two turntables and a mic. this was the first thing i drew and the rest, my friends, is history.

i feel that i have sort of pigeon-holed myself into doing the whole realism thing, i like doing it, but kills my creativity, so long story short, i want to do more illustrative type tattoos...just need to find the bodies.

haven't tattooed since monday, but hopefully the stars will align and we'll get some tattoo action tomorrow.
